Kin's Kitchen started in 2004, featuring traditional Cantonese dishes by art, culture & food critic LAU Kin Wai and LAU Chun.
Kin's Kitchen has always insisted on the traditional Cantonese food cooked without MSG. The smoked chicken is the signature dish and is well reputed. In 2011, Kin’s Kitchen won a Michelin Star and was one of the few traditional Cantonese restaurants to do so. The father and son duo have also designed menus for Cathay Pacific First Class, and Guest Chef appearances at The American Club in HK.
Kin's Kitchen has always insisted on the best methods and ingredients for their Cantonese food, for example, salt-baked chicken is really cooked in the traditional way, rather than using short cuts. The salt is ground, then the chicken is oven baked and cooked.
Modern equipment, new skills and a new menu with more dishes, such as using the Sous Vide technique cook pigeon at 70 degrees with Chinese ingredients for marination.
The other special twist at Kin’s Kitchen is the menu featuring over 10 different dishes of chicken cook traditional recipes. Using “full term” chickens that are matured to over 100 days, Kin’s Kitchen will not be chickens treated with fast-growth homones.
